i would think that most get through airports no problem, considering the fact that one cry of racism and away you go.
<<when you say not visible, not sure i understand that. Didn't cctv footage show the men in any number of places, going through the barriers at the station, at one point. >>

Is that to me em?

I'm referring not to security cctv but to concealed cameras and microphones targeting specific homes or premises.
zeuhl ok i see. But that could be you or i on CCTV, but footage won't show that we have planned something bad, only after the event. When extensive work has to be done by the police, security services to piece it all together. My point is only that i don't think CCTV is right in our society, its been foisted on us, like so many things.
We are told by the powers that be its for our own security, but its not really
Just as damn intrusive as google earth. No one asked our permission, why?
em gotcha.

I see your point. I suppose the argument is that cctv discourages crime and aids detection and prosecution though i don't know whether that is always true.

Google cameras are only showing what anyone can see from the street but then they weren't allowed down our road because it's private and long-distance relatives are often disappointed they can't < visit>
.
i don't believe it does deter crime, if it did, and with the amount of cameras we have here, then very few crimes would occur. People are often caught by a fluke, or something they have done at the scene of the crime, a print off a shoe, dna as well, and i am sure i read a while ago a policemans view was that CCTV is largely a waste of money. Our council just put them up, as most councils did, and no one sees this as sinister, that that are spying on people. Just like Stalinist Russia, if someone were monitoring my e mail or this site i wouldn't have a clue.
