Husband (out of frustration at being stuck in the house with the children) suggested a spur-of-the-moment trip to Pizza Hut this afternoon. Three adult pizzas (one large), five kids meals, five unlimited soft drinks, two ordinary soft drinks, unlimited salad bar all round and five eat-as-much-as-you-can (with being sick) ice cream factory things - £40.55 (they undercharged us for one kid's meal). I thought that was quite reasonable - and I didn't have to lift a finger or wash up, excellent!

I don't know............you could have very nearly got 3 bottles of Lamb's Navy Rum for that, sherrard !!

I just hope the children appreciate that. ;o)
Lidl is an anagram of Aldi (almost).

Blimey Sherrard - the few times I take the kids and the OH there, the bill is almost always that (but I suspect that that is due to the alcohol consumed). Sounds like a cheap meal to me!

It was good, thanks, trigger. Told the kids we were going out for a drive before tea (as they were bouncing off the walls). The two eldest have been nagging me to take them to Pizza Hut for weeks now so they were really pleased when we stopped in the car park. (Ps - don't go into M & S much these days, we get 'looked at' if we all go together, however, I am in Aldi so often that the man on the checkout gave me a free bar of chocolate to share amongst the kids yesterday - boy, I must have looked really hassled!)
£40 for fancy cheese on toast, bit of salad, whipped ice cream full or air an no cream, and fizzy pop.
Shocking.

hc4361, So you have never had a Pizza then! bit of a silly comparison really!!
pizza hut is not a charity, they have made a right few bob out of you, a quick calculation suggests with a huge mark up they´ve made about 35 quid out of you.
Still, if you all enjoyed yourselves, and its just a one off.
Piggynose, you reckon all that food cost Pizza Hut about £5? I think you're way off the mark.

And it's not just the food, is it......there's the staff, premises, overheads.....
