As a fan of sit coms I often watch UK gold especially if I happen to notice a classic episode of something I Iike. One thing I've noticed is this tendency of UK gold to cut bits out sometimes spoiling the comedy effect. A recent example is the episode of Blackadder 2, Money, were, Blackadder is down the docks "doing favours for sailors", the writer clearly has intended a slow build up to the punch line so Blackadder makes up a story for the Sailor, about a squirrel. Now at the end of that the sailor says, "thanks shipmate that's made me feel a lot better, now how much do you charge for a good hard sh&g?" Now UK gold cut out the punchline and ruined the next line entirely because we then cut to Blackadder and Baldrick back at the house saying "Right we have sixpence". Is the line so offensive that some numpty ruins one of the best gags in the show. That's just one example, there are many. Why must everything be so sanitized?

I think they are heavily edited during daytime only, after 9pm I think they show the unedited version

they don't trim for ads they take 40mins on UK Gold, cazz I was watching at 11pm.
I have also noticed the censoring, but I guess this is because the shows are shown throughout the day, not just after 9pm.

btw, its not called "Uk Gold" any more. Its just called "Gold"
