My Husbands computer was so slow so this morning i tried to do a disc cleanup. i dont know what else I did but now it will not connect to the internet I have had a little play with it
( I know i should not have ) After following the instructions on the help page i have ended up on the service management policy page and looking at this it is telling me that most of the things on this computer have been disabled have i done this much damage and can I restore it. The computer is quite old and has been threatened with the window a few times because it is slow Many thanks x

I think its time to treat him to a new one!

That's no help I know but if its that slow, its unlikely to get well soon.
Mine was also running slow this morning
Sounds like you deleted something you ought not have.

Hopefully you can restore the system to an earlier date. Programs / accessories / system tools / system restore.

Or it may pay you to wait until one of the knowledgeable folk who are able to analyse at a distance without looking, get to your thread.

Thanks for the replys still no joy not even with the restore system it seems as tho everything is disabled and i dont no how to proceed. The only thing I remember doing was clearing disc space, must have done something other.
Did you use a disc cleaning program (if so, which one?) or did you simply delete some files that you thought were useless and not necessary??
