I noticed on tv programs (fictitious) the portrayal of an inter racial couple is heavily biased to a black man and white woman.
Is this also true in society? You dont often see mixed asian/causcasian couples due to religious and cultural expectations but what about other combinations?
In real life there seems to be more white women with black men than black women with white men. Can't think why - there are some gorgeous black women about. P.S. I have no axe to grind, I am a very old white lady.
I think white women were always more prepared to live with the snide looks and comments that a relationship with a black man would bring - although i think the bias is evening out now as we slowly grind along towards something approaching racial tolerence.
if I were not married, I am sure I would have sought a black or Asian girlfriend, I think a lot of black and Asian women are gorgeous looking.
where i grew up a lot of the young white girls in my area preferred to hang out with black guys, which was fine as i ended up dating black, chinese, filipino and pakistani girls.
Maybe black women don't find white men attractive?
Could it be true what they say about black men?
*note: this is very tongue in cheek and not a serious comment, although my wife does find Idris Elba incredibly attractive, whilst I am in the pink range of white.
This is quite an interesting thread as I have just realised that if born in Europe black women tend to marry black men and very often if you see a black woman with a white man she was born in Africa etc and met her husband there or on holiday. When you see a white woman with a black man usually they were both born in Europe.
I haven't a clue how this applies in the US
I have often noticed asian men are with asian girls but sometimes see asian girls with white men but not many of them around here and even less indian people.
