I`ve just ran a scan of my PC with the above and am informed I have 13000 problems slowing my PC down, and am advised to purchase. Do you think I should do so, or not? Is it just a ploy to make me spend my pension? TIA.

it's a ploy. I daresay others will advise you of things you could get in answer to this post, but if not just ask what free (or inexpensive but genuine) programs you could use to ensure smooth running.
sounds like a ploy to me. Where did you get Auslogics from - did a pop-up screen suddenly appear on your computer inviting you to have a free scan?
It's a sales ploy. Don't panic. Try AVG instead as its free. I've been using it for a couple of years and its seen me right :)
