Anyone else having problems with skype today?

Yes! I keep getting - there is a problem with Skype and Windows is closing the program.
I'm re-installing it to see if that helps.

Try, www.heartbeat.com which gives you a heads up ifd Skype is having problems. I think that's the right address.

thank you - was beginning to think I was being 'picked on' by skype! - be interested to see whether or not the uninstall/re-install approach works.

hc thanks for the link - follwed the directions as far as enabling the file but still couldn't find <<<<shared.xml>>>>> - maybe I'll wait and see if it's fixed at source. Many thanks though

I have had a great deal of background noise and gave up after a while. I was hoping it would right itself by next time I use it. Perhaps it is something to do with them going bankrupt or getting taken over or whatever it was.

I tried Skype for a while but couldn't get on with it for the same reason as Starbo.....lots of background noise. Calls also kept cutting off. In the end I gave up. :o(

Still no skype this morning - just keep getting the error report - can't even log in

i had same problem, so in the end, removed it completely, and downloaded it again.

agree with piggynose - had major probs with the direction Skype sent me - followed instructions to the letter yet was unable to find the file to delete - decided to uninstall then reinstall and everything seems to be fine now.
