I hope I will be forgiven for this bit of shameless arse-licking, I think the guy's a comedic genius. The radio shows, The Day Today, Brasseye, Blue Jam, "Denholm Reynholm" in The IT Crowd, you name it. From the accuracy of the way news items are presented in parody to the surreality of the names of correspondants: "Ted Maul", "Romella Belx" "Peter O'Hanrahahanrahan", the accents, and of course the total roasting of self righteous celebs who thought they were appealng to genuine causes.
IMO the attention to detail is exemplary and his shows are at least if not more ground-breaking and original as the likes of Monty Python, Not The Nine O'Clock News etc etc.

Ah yes Cake ! The "bi-sturbile cranabolic amphetamoid" which affects a part of the brain called Shatner's Bassoon !
Yes, he seems to have gone a bit quiet since Four Lions, I wonder what he has lined up for us next.
