Sorry all, but I cant help thinking that "Chatterbank" seems to have lost it's way! In the few weeks since it was set-up, it appears to have gone downhill and is in danger of turning in to one of those dreaded bl**dy awful chat rooms!! I have noticed how lots of the old regulars seem to have abandoned it already, and I fear that it will not be long before it is soley inhabited by people wanting to say "good morning is anyone up yet" and "goodnight"! I suppose that this was inevitable to some degree, but that it has happened so fast is beyond me!
AB in its original guise was a site where intellectual, genuine, questions and answers were posted and often debated. We all seem to get to know each other and generally got on well, and because of that, we looked forward to a section where we might get to know each other a little better! But this sadly has turned into a boxing arena on many occasions of late.
I have a feeling that many people are "googling" chat rooms, and ending up here! Now, here's a suggestion that I'm sure will get many peoples backs up, but here goes. When a new user joins the site, as well as being a "greenie" how about a two week delay before Chatterbank can be accessed? This may seem harsh but it may put off those people who just want to ask if you want a beer etc. If they then get "a feel" for the site and like what they see then lift restrictions, and hopefully everyone will all be singing from the same songsheet so to speak! I dont want to appear to be elitist in any way, but I think many people feel like me as well but dont want to say so!
I love AB and I dont want to see it ruined by mindless plebs with nothing more to do than watch paint dry!

can i point out that i set up a small website called the froggers inn to allow some of the regular chatterbankers that are being called a few names on here for treating it like a chat room, the chance to do just that on my site. I hope that this provides a place for them to chat and mingle, swap emails etc without upsetting any one on here. If anyone else would like to join it feel free to check it out and join in. Details are on Chatterbank.

Bruce - run and get cat woman! I gave in to temptation well not really as I am going to stay pretty close to those I feel I know and who I really like!! Explanation needed? Maybe you've sussed out re my new name. Not as good as but Ron Moody was ****** good too, n'est-ce pas!
Anyway I often looked in at the Pete Duel thread I introduced Mme cat woman too and have read that I have obviously not been the only one to fall foul to wicked keyboards! And I was going to reply on that thread and then I discovered that that thread has got longer and longer and I must admit I'm not sure about all the new posters on it.
While I am *whispering* do your and Madames surname start with an 'R'? I have joined NewAnswerbook and looking thru past posts saw a Bruce who came and went and wondered if it was you...

Yay! f.f. it was indeed I that invaded that site for a while, cant say that I liked what I saw, so a brief spell was all I needed! It may also interest you to know that I also looked in on "Froggers" under a pseudonym, which was quite quickly sussed (just from my content I think)! That appeared to be a "lets slag-off" the AB regulars site for the CB prolifics (if you know what I mean). I only went on there to see if any of our names were mentioned and I wasn't let down! It's more of a chat room mentality in there so I tend not to visit. Don't want to say too much!
How did your physio go? I had my second session today and was given various strange excercises to perform involving walking sticks???? My Physiotherapist is so young, she can only be about 12 and about 4ft12, I'm scared to death I'm going to hurt her, poor lass!
How do you find NewAnswerBook? Maybe I need to look in again sometime.

I was most interested to hear about froggers but also a lot of people in CB have been saying, haven't they, how they no longer visit. Not heard from acw since she said she was joining - probably too embarassed!!!!
Not seen, nor heard, LeCheekyWorm again - being curious I'd love to know who it is! Any ideas?
As for the physio - 3 visits and a real catastrophe it is turning out to be.
Visit1: due to raoadworks arrived 15 minutes late for a 30 min. session. Had a quick massage and fell off her table which negated any good that might have come from the massage.
Visit2: dead chuffed to arrive 10 mins early to be met by the physio telling me that I was far too late. What? She was ewpecting me at 9:30; no way! Looked at her paper and down for 10 but I had thought it was 10:30. I told her I was dropping the whole thing, I'd pay for sessions owed but snd the whole thing! She persuaded me to have a mini-session as i looked as if I needed it and once in there she asked me to stay as it was the first time she had any dealing with someone who had the disease I had.
Great confidence booster and you know, I really don't think she realised what she had said.
Visit3: today and definitely arrived 10 mins early to be met by this youngster - actually Bruce I think maybe your physio had a quick trip over! - anyway replacing the lady I'd seen, for 2 weeks as she was being operated on (not me honest!) - interesting session but I'm still waiting to see what the benefits might be apart from feeling highly anxious and stressed and very, very tired!

Nice to hear from you again f.f. You've persuaded me to have another look on New Answerbook! Maybe I didn't give it enough time on my first visit.
My shoulder definitely improved for a day or so after my second visit, but it's so easy to do more damage if you don't be careful, so be cautious! Luckily here in England I'm on the NHS so I dont have to pay for treatment, and I only live 5 mins walk away from the health centre so I'm unlikely to be late!
Isn't acw now january bug, and aren't you two in touch anymore, I thought you were mates?
I'll get cat woman to contact you herself, and she can have a laugh with you, at my expense no doubt!

I can be late for absolutely ANYthing - if there's a time attached you can bet that Catherine will not be there, but don't worry she IS coming!!!
Yes, acw is january-bug but it's so much quicker to type acw instead of january-bug, don't you agree? I could say j-b but I might forget who I'm talking about!!!!! No problem, we're still in touch but when I said I hadn't heard from her - it was referring to the FI, there's just seems to be so much going on all over the place. If I don't hear from her by tomorrow I shall send her a kick to give her a move on!
