the security system has mobiized and i cant get it to demobilize to start the engine any tips i need to get to work later thanks

That's the beauty of XJ's of that era .. All the elecrical stuff is so crap.
Headlamp dipping and relays and ignition/immobilser the worst.
You better get the manual out.
