On the news they are saying that the jobless total is down, but there are more people claming the job seekers allowance, isn't this claimed by jobless people?

It seems like an oxymoron to me.

Is it a fall in the amount of sickness or something similar, I am not making politic I just don't understand why it happens

If they kick people off the sick they can then claim JSA ?
Probably.

Every now and again the 'sick' get shunted one way or another.

Unemployment figures too high ?.......put 'em on 'sickness' benefits and watch the unemployment figures fall.

Sickness figures too high ?.......push 'em all onto JSA and claim that we 'are doing something about getting the long term sick back into the jobs market'...

GotOne if they kick them off the sick wouldn't that mean unemployment rises?
They give out the figures on different dates, Don't believe all what the government tell you.
I remember some years ago when they stopped the under 18s from being able to claim benefits, made the figures sound good but didn't do anything to help them get a job.
for MPs read morons.
