It's Death Awareness Week!

I think the presentation is a bit over the top, but that it's something worth thinking about.

How many of us have made a will / indicated our wishes?

I've not, but shall be doing!

will done, advance directive done, insurances sorted, funeral plan in place.... just need to die now... or later whenever....
Milly, my knives are my pride and joy and will be buried witrh me.

Bobbi, I have decided I want Born To Be Wild by Steppenwolf on the way in to the service and Led Zepps Stairway To Heaven on the way to our grave both at full blast.

On second thoughts, I think I'll have my funeral while I'm still around, so I can hear what's said about me and have some input, and have a few bevvies.

I quite like dancing Queen, but seeing my wife & daughters dancing in the aisle might be a bit difficult.
I would like The Only Way is Up at mine :o)
The other thing Bobbs, is that they will have to remove Sylvias coffin first and lower me down to the bottom, alwways did prefer her on top - lol

I'm being Optimistic as I have plans

my thoughts exactly, bobbi - I'll send you an invitation when I've fixed it up.
Don't forget my invite, venatror, I would love to meet Bobbi!!!!!
My wife & myself paid for our fun-eral plan (get it ?) some years ago,it helps to beat inflation. I'm afraid she had hers 3 years ago, & I've got to be honest it all went very well indeed & I was so very impressed with the way it was all carried out I shall be quite happy when it's my turn.Ron. †
brilliant, I would say I can't wait but...?
maybe a rehearsal would be good though..LOL
My funeral and end of life wishes are well known by my family. Being ill forces you to talk about these things whether you want to or not. I still haven't told my 13 year old son how ill I am though, that is one conversation I do not want to have just yet :-(
I would like to have this playing as I'm sliding behind the curtain...

If I decide to go for a conventional funeral this is the song I'm going to be carried out too
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AE1ct5yEuVY a fitting song for an old pit rat. I've also let it be known that what ever I decide my wake has got to last until they've finished off my malt whiskey and that could take some time, I've alway enjoyed a good wake it must be the Irish side of the family coming out
I'd like to be made into diamonds! :) http://www.lifegem-uk.com/

Not really, just whatever is the cheapest way, and hopefully my savings would cover it.
i'm going to have a plain cardboard coffin and want people to come and paint all over it using my paints. they can paint whatever they like as long as it's cheerful and bright as i don't want anyone wasting their money on flowers for me when i'm dead.
i then want to be cremated without any ceremony, just my immediate family accompanying me to the crematorium. when the ashes are collected i then want a party held with my in my urn at the centre of things.
whichever of us goes first, the survivor is going to hang on to the ashes until their time comes, at which point our sons have instructions to mix the ashes together and scatter them wherever they want.
