Bigmamma.. sad news..

the little lady with a whopping big heart, Teresa sadly lost her fight with Motor Neurone Disease yesterday, a release from a very cruel disease.

I was lucky to have met her, but I know she is in the hearts of so many. she always had a kind word, and also a sharp wit to the end.

truly inspirational. the world needs more people like her to be a better place.

OMG, haven't been on AB for ages and I sign in to find such sad news. Bigmamma was one of the nicest people on AB and I'm sure she'll be missed by so many. RIP Bigmamma x x x

thanks to all for your lovely posts. I think this should be a "sticky" for a few more days so that everyone has at least had a chance to see it, but I can't keep asking!

and thank you to those who have contributed towards the flowers. I have collected a magnificent stash of money and have contacted Teresa's family for their views on how to proceed x

That is heart warming to read sara - thank you for handling the donations. It is great to see that so many have responded on this thread and that some have come back especially to so do. The extended sticky request has allowed more folk to post - I do hope Ed is amenable to the continuation of it. When all is said and done there is a great bunch of ABers on here ♥

ttfn - maybe the ed could create a system where we are fined for infringements and we could send the money collected to MND research. Along with dementia I can't think of any worse way to end your life.

I've just heard the sad news about Bigmamma (Wolf kindly sent me an e-mail, as I haven't been around for a week or so) - my heart goes out to all her dear family and friends. What more can I say? God bless, Teresa. K xxxxxx

as an update, a magnificent £415 has been raised so a big thank you to all who donated.
as I haven't heard back from Teresa's family yet, it has been decided to spend about £150 on flowers, and the family can choose what will happen to the balance.

I hope she knew how well loved she was.
