Going to southern Cyprus soon, I can wish the people
good morning ,good evening, and goodnight and say thank you but I would like to learn some more basic words. Is there a web site that shows you the pronounciation of the words in English, if you know what I mean ,! , Also when you say thank to someone in greek they answer you with something else ,What is it? does anyone know They are such lovely people and I try to at least thank them in their own language This all sounds a bit double Dutch,but i'm sure someone will know what i mean Thanks

I think you will find that they may respond with the word "Epises" which is the reply given when you say thank you,( kind of like the reply "you are welcome" used by Canadians.)
