Any advice would be gratefully appreciated as usual! I intend to install some dawn / dusk lighting in my aquarium, would a 20watt 9" tube be enough to give a visible effect or should I simply go for a full length tube of similar low-ish wattage? Just thinking about the practicalities of installation.
Cheers All!

I have to go now but it would help others if you let us know the size of your aquarium.
Hi, in one of your other threads you mention a 63 usg....so I should imagine that this has to be at least a 4' er. I have a 44'' blue tube in my brackish tank [55usg] just to give it a bit of 'mood lighting' in the evening and that's pretty bright [I should run a day tube in there as well but haven't got round to putting it in yet.
You could probs get away with a 36'' but anything else would look pretty dull IMO . Do you have a decent LFS near you....that way you can but the starters and they should always change to bulbs over if you're not happy with them...because they aren't cheap!

Hi Guys it's a 4' bow front. I put a 24" 20watt in and it looks rather nice I must say! Can't wait to see it tonight in the dark LOL
