Lavender oil works well on scarring. Just smear a little bit on a couple of times a day. It works brilliantly on burns as well. And before anyone replies saying you shouldn't put oil onto burns, the healing powers of lavender oil were discovered by a French scientist researching plant oils, and who burnt himself really badly in a lab experiment. The nearest liquid to him was a bowl of lavender oil, into which he plunged his hand. The burn healed really quickly and didn't scar. Lavender oil is one of the few essential oils that you can use undiluted directly onto your skin.
Apparently Arnica is quite good for scars and damaged skin, but think you need to use it from the start.
Or is it Calendula???? Mmmmm not sure now but its one or the other.
Bio Oil is a god send highly recommend

Just checked, Arnica is good for bruising and Calendula is good for skin problems from burns to acne so I guess it Calendula then.
