that is what i want to put down but do not understand it's relevance to the clue...or am i just being REALLY thick ?
It's an old "saying"... "The job was so easy, he did it at a canter". ie quickly.
no, you are not thick. There are loads of things I haven't heard of before. Just google 'what does at a canter mean' and the answer will show.
