Stuck CD's

Hi can ayone help? my hi fi went a bit weird yesterday and decided to stop working suddenly trapping 3 of my cd's inside, has anyone got any ideas, how to get out or does anyone know of any reapair people in the area, who could help. I live in Braintree, North Essex. Thank youu Im missing my music

As trim implies, does it show any signs of life or power? It may also help if you give some details of which hifi it is?

As for repair places, there are not many decent ones left round this area (I'm in Coggeshall) and unless it's a really expensive system it won't be worth getting it looked at.

Thanks for the replies, yep fuse is fine, swtiches on, lights up, but just sticks on CD, won't go to radio etc. It is a Panasonic SA AK 47. I was guessing I wouldn't be able to get it fixed, but as long as I can get my CD's out. Thanks x

Is there a small hole near the cd drive slot? On most computers gently inserting a bent paper clip into this hole will allow the drive to be manually ejected. Push the clip until the drive ejects. To be on the safe side, make sure the hi fi is powered off.
