old english name would be a Midden
The appropriate skip for it at my local dump is labelled "garden waste"
And by local dump I mean Recycling Centre, not Basildon :-p
I'd have said a compost heap.
Chuck!

Any particular part of Basildon you were thinking of? I call it 'compostings' i.e. stuff for making compost or 'compostables'
Green waste
Careful there ChuckFickens I'm only 10miles down the road from Basildon!
You're OK, that's a safe distance :)

If you find yourself saying innit at the end of "sentences" (I use that word loosely) it might be catching up with you.

That nothing Trim, in Hants they take it away and compost it for you, then SELL it you back at £4.50 a bag!!!
In Somerset you're charged for green waste bin every year, then they sell the compost back to you.
