...i want to make this for sunday lunch on mums day but it is easier to find hens teeth here in the states than it is to find fresh custard...i have the powder as a back up but i wanted to go "all scratch" so i found this recipe for fresh custard-

my question is, i need 450g of custard for hestons recipe.....would one batch be enough or would i be better off doing two and enjoying what i dont use in the pudding??

well 450 g is 15 oz and you have the eggs and dry stuff as well so i reckon one serving will be enough.
