Why does entering a supermarket remove 90% or the inteligence and 90% of the motor functions from the average customer? I mean people just dawdle about like extras from Dawn of the dead! It's as if ASDA has pumped some sort of gas into the atmosphere!

I am on the other side of the world from you in the UK and we have a very mixed population but 95% of the stuff about supermarkets applies here as well!!! There must a global supermarket virus that kills the brain cells of most of the people who go inside and as all the supermarkets carry the same products in all parts of the globe it must spread real easy. Better hope that bird flu when it gets out doesn't spread so easily.

If I am not in a rush why should I hurry just to please you? I like to look at the shelves properly, see whats there, find new products etc.

i agree with the stuff about people not bagging up or finding their cash while their waiting though, thats just dumb.
in any shop where i use a cheque i write everything out, sign it and write my card number on the back while i'm waiting, then i just have to add the amount, which only takes a second and all the cashier has to do is check the number is correct.
Cheques take no longer than it does for them to scan your card, wait while the machine chuggachugs along, prints out a slip, you sign etc

But why use a cheque at all? your guarentee card is also a debit card. Or, heaven forbid cash!

They take much longer, cash is fastest unless you are talking about old granies with their copper jar. You do not have to sign for debit/credit card purchase, chip and pin?? There is no slip to sign no chugga chug.

I don't care about your inrritation - if I did I would change how I shop...but I'm not going to.
I don't need to "justify" my shopping habits to you or anyone. There are no laws that say either of us is right.
Why not use a cheque? It take about 30 seconds out of your life - what were you going to do with them? Some people like cheques because it helps them keep track of spending, and also takes three days to clear meaning your can check your funds are available and that no direct debits will overlap - you have time to fix the problem.
Not all cards have chip and pin, some you have to sign - which takes about 2 seconds.
And every machine I have ever encountered has chugged along printing the slip etc
You need to get a life and chill out. Concentrate on your own life instead of trying to control everyone elses.
