Due to a minor lower abdo pain, I visited my GP to be told I need to go to hospital so they can stick a camera up my jacksie,. Ive had my appointment for the Colo rectal surgery Clinic. I haven't been told or supplied with anything about flushing me out prior to the invasion, is this normal. I thought I needed meds to clear me out? or will they just give me an enema? I'm confused.

Can I ask for the Vid? I will put it on youtube :-)
I often think that when I go to the dentists, or what about podiatrists?
If you suffer any any way from piles you need to be careful as the laxative can be quite fearsome. I always have suppositories available just in case you start to bleed.
You do not have to take the sedative but it probably is better if you do. I have had it both ways so do speak from experience.

Well I like to be fully informed!!! I was put at ease when my GP told me I have a perfectly normal prostate Gland,

I'm really not sure how he established that with both hands on my shoulders!!

I agree about the prep, not pleasant so be careful if you are working after. I had a sedative though I had a full one up and camera down in the same session. Felt rough after but probably as mine was more prolongued and they removed stuff. Quite a few people there who I think were having what you are and seemed to have them often didn't have a sedative.
