Do the AA have female patrols that come out if you've had a breakdown? I nearly had a breakdown last time I used the AA but that's another story

yes they do but not many. It depends which area you are in. I have met one floating around the M25.
AA certainly do have female counsellors - last time I broke down and very nearly fell off the wagon, I called them and she was a godsend.
Assuming that you mean the Automobile Association and not Alcoholics Anonymous, are you female and have you had a problem with a male patrol?  If so, you must report the incident to AA management.  Because your call is much more likely to be answered by a man, they are very protective of their good reputation and your complaint will be taken seriously.

I thought A A A A  was the scouse AA !.

I don't know about them having female patrols, but I believe they may give priority to lone female drivers who have broken down.  A while ago  I broke down in the dark in a deserted area and mentioned this when I called them. The AA put me on high priority for assistance and called me every 10 minutes to check I was OK, which was very reassuring.
