I'm not familiar with it as a person's name but, in astronomy, I would pronounce the opposite of the zenith as nuh-DEER.

Some people pronounce it NEIGH-deer.

As a name, I'd pronounce it na-dear (i.e. short "na", not "nah"), as in Asil Nadir, former chief executive of Polly Peck. His name was in the news a lot a number of years ago, and again a few months ago when he returned to the UK, and that's how the BBC newsreaders pronounced it.
