Wii controller flashing

Anyone got a quick answer to why all blue lights on my Wii controller are flashing (it should be fully chrarged) and it's not connecting to the game (ie Donkey Kong won't move!). All combinations of buttons do nothing.

Try re syncing the controller with the wii
