going to read up on current employment legislation?
Maria had a brilliant case for constructive dismissal if she had walked out; she had been in the job for only a couple of weeks but was made to complete negotiations for a major contract, she was then left 'in charge' and expected to fulfill the contract on time. She had little or no training yet was humiliated in front of the workforce when she had to renage on the promised 'bonus'. (This the workers seemed to accept without question!)
The way they carry on you'd think it was still the 1950's.

And, by the way, where is Kevin's baby?

maybe she doesn't have a contract because she's 'family' though? xx

Doesn't have to have a written contract; just the fact of her being employed (presumably she's on the payroll) forms a contract.
You don't need a written contract for a contract to be in force.
16 year olds do set up home together.
This is a soap - I don't want it reflecting real life.
