Wisteria in April - what's happening?

Hi,
We have a Wisteria just outside Barcelona, Spain, that has blossomed beautifully every year for the last 20 years or so. It's the 12th April now & I can't see even one leaf. I thought it might be dead but there is green under a lot of the branches. The other Wisterias in the area are in full blossom but ours looks dry and hollow. Any ideas?
Thanks.

ours is the same state as yours and we're in the uk. we have no leaves, just a few leaf buds. i put ours down to the harsh winter we had although i'm not sure it has any bearing on it. just have to wait and see what happens i think.
Could be mass wisteria and yours remained sane.
Mine is a Chinese Wisteria which gets flower buds before leaves.. Its in flower now in Central London and its beautiful...
My neighbour's is up the front of her house, the flower spikes are huge and about to burst into blossom. We're on the south coast UK.
