. . . I got a grey pair in the end and I've just put a thin layer of tan coloured polish and it's worked well, although I'll put another layer on in a bit.

Plus they fitted one foot perfectly but after a trick to slightly widen the heel of the other, my right foot easily fits in :D

And I've used beige shoe cream to fill in the little indentations whick IMO looks quite good, jsut need some more beiginess on the rest of it, but I need the last layer to dry first . . .

Molls, have you got a Halfords near you? I know it sounds daft but when I wanted just the right colour shoes for the girls for my wedding, I used spray car paint - OK it needed touching up from time to time, but the colour was spot on and there were dozens to choose from.
