R (roaming icon) on Samsung Tocco Lite

My Samsung Tocco Lite has a red R icon . I cannot make calls or send texts. Any suggestions of how to get rid of the R or adjust phone would be welcome.

1) turn it off and on again.

2) if that doesn't work then

Tap Menu.
Tap Settings.
Tap Network settings.
Tap Select network.
Tap either Automatic or Manual and tap Select.

Try it on manual and see if you can select your home network.
