Mini Boo sprang on me this morning that she needs to make an Easter Bonnet for school tomorrow, which will be worn during assembly- which was nice of her...

Anyhoo, in a blind panic I legged it to Tesco hoping to buy a straw hat type of thing and easter decorations. Wouldn't you know it? No bonnets, hats or even summer hats which I looked for in desperation. I can't go anywhere else at this short notice, infact there is nowhere else to go near me anyway.

I grabbed this lot...

Was thinking maybe make some sort of hat out of these? Think it could be done? And more importantly...how?

Help me!!

im fuming she's sprang it on me as we were walking to school Ladybird, not only that she actually said "oh mummy, YOU'VE to make me a bonnet for tomorrow"....lol
The kids should really make them in school imo , nice surprise for when the parents watch them parading them around
Our grand-daughter did the same when we picked her up from school one day. She "had to have" an angel costume for the next day. Daddy had forgotten he had the letter in his pocket for over 2 weeks! Naughty Daddy. It was all sorted with a sheet from a £1 shop, wires and ribbons and fluff - halo and all.
Hiya Boo. I use this site a lot for work.

Hey pix, and now Mercia who's just asked elsewhere....

I managed to buy a hat from Oxfam

Though i think i seriously peed off the Oxfam ladies when they asked me where i was going with buying "such a beautiful hat" and I replied that i was hacking it to bits and sticking easter crap on it for a school assembly. It kinda went down like a pork pie at a jewish wedding!
Oh well - at least the hat had another outing and wasn't resigned to be mushed up for recycling! I'm sure it looked great when you'd finished.
I was with my 15 year old niece in a charity shop buying a wedding dress (she wanted it for a halloween party - bride of Dracula or something!) anyway there was a choice of two and I asked my niece which one she wanted. The lady came over looking all 'knowing and pitying smiles - "Goodness, they get married so young these days"
We didn't say anything, and my niece decided which one she wanted, adding, 'with this one you'll be able to see the 'blood' better on the front' - the assistant looked horrified and couldn't get us out of the shop quick enough!
