Friends of mine bought the local stores/offy and had minimal accommodation built on a single level next to the premises. There was a flat roof with skylights on the extension next to the main road. They wondered if they could be 'overheard' whilst in bed. I volunteered (gone midnight) to climb on to said roof and put my ear to the skylight whilst they were on their double bed - laughing and chatting away.I shouted through the opaque glass to say I couldn't hear them 'at it'. I didn't see the police offers climb onto the roof behind me. I was about 45 at the time. My friends disowned me, at first, when the police rang the door bell :o(
