Reboot and try again
Check RGB/Dvi Cable from PC to screen.
Check screen settings and reset
What now?

I have tried all that except reset sceen settings Albags. How do I do that?
On the monitor there should be settings button.
Look in menu for a rest.
Does it appear like you have lost a primary colour from picture?
Does everything you open look like this (like through a yellow filter)?
Have you another monitor to try? .. because that would really be the next step.

thank you so much for your help Albags

I have rest the colour on the monitor but it made no difference.
yes everything looks like looking through a yellow filter.
I haven't got another monitor to try, it seems like it is broken doesn't it
It does .. and it's unusual for graphics drivers or the card to give this problem.
It is a PC then?
Can you borrow any monitor from friend to try? Or even just a cable, if it is detachable from the monitor?
If its a CRT screen, the chances are the Blue gun has failed.
Question Author
will borrow a monitor from work tomorrow and take it from there, thanks a lot for replies
Hope you get it fixed. Make sure you match connections properly with correct cable! Either VGA or DVi (or both ends)

I don't know what that means Albags but I'll be careful.
