daihatsu diesel engine problem
i have a diesel daihatsu hijet, 1200cc engine, going downhill, no problem, but as soon as i hit a hill, even a small incline, it slows down and wont pick up speed again until i,m going downhill again, it starts 1st time, runs all day, i recently drove 260 miles , stopping for only 10 minutes, on �20 worth of diesel.

Find a diesel injection specialist, and pay him to check the pump, and injectors.At least you will have a proper answer to the problem, and not have some one mess with it who knows nothing.
Sounds to me like the pump, but it might depend on whether the engine is smoking etc etc, at any time you use it(morning, warm etc).Check also that the fuel cap is venting, and that your airfilter is not blocked up
