Pages all miminized! Help

Something I have just done has 'minimised' my pages. let me explain.

If I click on any desktop icon or any icon in my 'favorites' instead of the whole page appearing what I get is the top two bar only ie 'blue bar with name of site' and beneath this the 'google bar'

Then each time to get the full page I have to click the little square square between minimise and X and the full page appears!

Do not know what I have done. Can anyone help please?

Instead of clicking that little square, put your mouse cursor at the bottom of the window where it will change to a double-headed arrow pointing up and down. When the double-headed arrow appears, click and hold the left mouse button, and while holding it down, drag the mouse towards you. As you do so, the page will extend downwards. When you get to nearly full screen, release the mouse button. Close the window. Next time you open it, it should remember the size.
