Gaps in skirting board

Our conservatory is about 10 years old has a ceramic tile floor and normal wood skirting board. Over the years I think it must have settled and in some places the skirting board has up to a 1cm gap between the tiles and wood at the bottom. This allows all sorts of insect dross and dirt to come in (presumably from the foundations?). I was thinking the quickest and easiest solution was to go round it with bathroom sealant. Can anyone envisage problems or suggest a better answer?

I shan't even bother opening the link - spooky that they registered just to post it though.
Albags - but they are the experts?
Spammers.
Experts at what? Passing on machined timber?
They don't make it .. just money from dealing it.
See what they have in Accessories to fit it? ... Gripfill : )
Try Gripfill on an old property with an uneven wall length of 4M+
Proper way is peg and square nailed in pairs, or maybe recessed screwed, depending on backing material.
I cut plugs with a plug cutter for hardwood or natural finishes, and screw on if necessary.
albags - was meant as a laugh about the spam - them being experts (I know how to scribe, plug cut etc)
lol Tony .. Yes, got the drift.

Some of them advertise rubbish and wind me up : )
Albags - If they could spam properly - you might even have to laugh - I did - realise you got the drift
Decorators Caulk, £1 a tube from B&Q
Elvis - will that look good? How you thinking of making a clean join on a nice tiled floor? 10mm is hardly a bead
It is from head height
Elvis it's a conservatory - there might be a seat or two in there? I don't know - I would replace skirting scribed in if affordable
I'd get a man in..............
What about the skirting though craft?
Craft - good advice
Personally .. I would replace the conservatory. Especially if you have the budget skirting (4") or short Torus, you should replace with Homebase Ezi-skirt. This will/should cover existing joint. B and Q Conservatories are pretty cheap and quick to replace. Do sell house at same time. Result .. A great architectural improvement. Allows you to stain/paint up freshly.
Sellafield looks tacky in my opinion. I go to great lengths to use it
