Does anyone know of a free utility where I can convert my mpeg files to put on a dvd to play in a dvd player?

You need to convert your video to MPEG-2 format and then burn to DVD.
it's easier if you use this DVD creator :

It can burn any video to DVD for palying on a home DVD player. really easy to use! I recommended!
