I sold something on EBAY, the person that won it just ignored all my emails etc, presumably they changed their mind. I filed a case with EBAY. Today I get an email saying that the item didnt sell and would I like to relist it. Any idea what happenned here has anyone else had this? I have made a second chance offer to the next bidder but ebay seems to be ignoring that. How long do I wait to give the original buyer a bad rating?

I'd do it now to be honest. After a few years using E-bay mainly as a buyer, I had a bad experiance in December and I won't be using them again.
Do you have the email address of the 2nd highest bidder?

Surely ebay should act straightaway. If a bidder had won an item at a normal auction they would be "forced" to pay for it then and there. I don't like ebay.
Ebay is crap.

I bought a fragrance jean paul gualtier eau des coligne 125ml for 29.85£ from a british seller. Probabily *** (no offence to muslim) but the item was really crap. I know how strong is this frangrance as i bought it from a resaler before but this one was really Sugar. The fragrance last for 2/3 hour and it should last up to 8 hours. I feel now i bought an aftershave rather than eau des coligne because after shave they do contain less frangrance oil. The guy had not given me a feedback either. No more Ebay is a Scam website. You pay for an item and you never get the what it describes, there are not Honest sellers

Many sellers are ligit, as are most buyers, but I have to say there are enough trying it on for me to be wary when using it. In my experience eBay aren't interested when you get swindled anyway. It's very much a case of 'buyer beware' (and I guess seller too).

All vendors I had problems with had large good feedback.
I understand good rep accounts can be built up and traded.

I think you are being a bit harsh Davidmexia, Ebay is a very good well run site, inevitably it attracts fraudsters and general charlatans. They have good systems for dealing with issues. I think declaring that "Ebay is cr&p" on the basis of one transaction of some dodgy smelly stuff is a bit of an over reaction.I've had a few issues myself but I can't really blame ebay, it's really some of the numpties that use it.

i'd NEVER use ebay.a friend had money taken from his account by someone buying on ebay.he lost £200.he didn't get it back.
I cannot see how anyone can get access to your Paypal account and take money from it, and ebay do recommend that you use Paypal. Never had any trouble after about 7 years buying and selling on ebay
Problem is, if you filed the case with Ebay and you have the tracking number for it it's best to let it run its course, else you'll still have to pay the fee to Ebay for the original sale. If you let Ebay fix it (it might take a while) you'll get your fee back or they will get the buyer to pay. I had the same thing happen a month or so ago. Took Ebay about a month but I got the money and shipped the item.

If the case is opened, when you first sign on to Ebay, click (in the upper right hand corner) My Ebay followed by clicking on "Summary". When that opens part of the sub-headings will note if you have any cases opened...
Hint: don't leave any feedback until the item is received and see what feedback the buyer left...
