I'm after a denim skirt but the only ones I can find are either too long and go below the knee or so short if I bent over you could see what I had for breakfast. Ideally I want one that comes no shorter then halfway down the thigh or just above the knee.

Any ideas?

Big game for Arsenal tonight, milly !

Yeah, trying to not think about it at the moment. In fact I am debating whether I'm going to watch it at all. Thank god Cesc and RVP look like they might be fit.
Have you looked at AllSaints?

We have a fab branch here, but they also have them at Gatwick and BlueWater.

If you put in your postcode, you can find your nearest branch.

Ooohhh, hadn't thought of All Saints but I know there is a concession on House of Fraser. Plus, we've done a bunch of re-fits for All Saints so if I ask the right people very nicely I might be able to get a few quid off.
Is it too daft to suggest you shorten one that is too long?
That would be good.

I wonder where they get all those old sewing machines for their windows?
Question Author
I suppose I could BetteK but I haven't used a sewing machine since I was about 15. Would prefer to find one that suits first, if possible.
Think this thred should be in sport
Sport ??

"Is it too daft to suggest you shorten one that is too long? "

I was thinking exactly the same thing :-)
Question Author
Not sure about the sewing machines, we just do the ventilation. I love how they look though.

Perhaps I could buy a skirt from them and then pinch one of their sewing machines to shorten it! ;o)
Question Author
Why should it be in sport? They don't wear many skirts in the sports I watch.
It's just being vertically (and horizontally!!!!!) challenged I always have to shorten everything.
If you can't find the right length and you don't sew yourself then most dry cleaners offer an alterations service ... just a suggestion if you get really stuck.
Question Author
Yeah, that's a good suggestion, thanks BetteK. I'm not sure I would trust my own handy work so getting a proffesional might be the best idea.
i saw some in betweeny ones in saisburys today
I got a good length A-line one in M&S recently, good price too.
cut it to length you want & use surplus material for a triangular halter neck top.
