Can eating a lamb burger that is a bit pink in the middle do you any harm??

No. In fact it should taste lovely. The rarer the better.

Burgers made with shop-bought mince should be cooked all the way through (i.e. not pink in the middle). This is because minced lamb has a larger surface area for bacteria to grow on and can therefore survive in the middle of the burger.
However, if you mince your own lamb and use it straight away, it can be cooked so that it is slightly pink in the middle.
Pop it in the microwave and give it a quick blast!
I won't eat anything that's pink, stuff has to be well done for me.
Even with what Naz says...I would still risk it.

Definitely has to be well done. I do not trust any rare meat. In fact I have wondered if human mad cow disease was transmitted more easily by eating rare beef. But since I am not a scientist I could be wrong, just a thought.
