What do you mena by 'it won't let me'?  Has your pC actually got a DVD player on it?  Are you getting some kind of error message?
Hiya goodgrl. I had the same problem. I think it's to do with the fact that the powers that be have taken precautions against recording their DVD as so many computers these days have DVD/CD recording equipment. There is a program which not only allows you to watch a DVD on the comp, but allows you to watch other regions' DVDs as well. I have it and you'd be most welcome but I can see no way of getting it to you. If you can, you can have it with pleasure.
try other dvd's - some come with players pre-installed to allow you to run them on your pc

I've put a link below for download.com, it's a list of dvd players you can install on to your computer. Hope this helps.

Most computers come with CD players which let you watch DVDs but not record them.Though not all.i myself have a Dell (2 year old ) PC which won`t play DVDs as it was originally configured for use mainly as a busness machine.I can still watch DVDs ,though via my external CD recorder.
