Working tax Credit?

Friend got a job 07/01/2011.
Was laid off 24/02/2011.

They need to ring tax credits so that they can tell them they are no longer employed, therefore working tax element will stop.

Would the payments stop there and then or do they get paid for a month after too.

Heard this somewhere.

Get her to ring them and ask....they are very helpful.
