Do you remember Dick, Jock & Snowy?

Along with Paul Temple, Just William, Appointment with Fear, Into Battle. Family Favourites etc.

What other such programmes you would like to listen to once again, from that long gone age of Radio?

Switch on the Radio these days and it is wall to wall pop music, sport, or useless chatter.

oooo Jem..we are the ovalteenies..happy boys and girls....
But there was no way (until I was into my teens, when the pop pirates were taking over anyway) that I'd have ever have been allowed to listen to Radio Luxembourg! I was only allowed to listen to children's songs (such as Nellie the Elephant) and classical music. The nearest thing to pop music in our house was Gilbert & Sullivan!

So I was probably into adulthood before I ever heard this (which is for you, Jem):

My OH remembers Dick Barton and Valentine Dyall (sp?) I remember Henry Hall's guest night and Billy Cotton's Band Show, Round the Horn and Houswives Favourites. I don't listen to the radio much now.
what was that advert from Keynsham about plants.....it gave me nightmares.
You don't know what you're missing, AYG.

Apart from turning it on last night, to watch a DVD of the first ever edition of Last of the Summer Wine, my telly hasn't been used for 5 or 6 weeks. Radio is much better!
Awww chris Thankyou. (sniff)
