I have a heavy padded coat which has a down lining and is washable but has to be tumble dried. I feel it is not as fully waterproof as it use to be - does anyone know if there is anything that can be used to to make it waterproof again and has anyone had any success with this? Sorry, was not sure what section to put this under. Maybe should have been shopping! thanks in advance

You can buy waterproofing sprays for hiking stuff. There is a company called Grangers that makes it.
You can buy a Waterproofing spray for leather and textiles - certainly works on leather shoes and showerproof jackets. Mine was really cheap from Lidl but may be available only at certain times as a "special".

thanks to you both - sounds easy done too, something I can just spray on.
Grangers do a wash in waterproofer that can be put in the machine. Tumble dry the cost with dryer balls to puff up the padding.
