so mullein2 being an illegal immigrant makes you fair game for shooting does it??  I've been an illegal immigrant over here but it did make me a bad person and I was not a risk to the public.  Think again.  Don't forget the bombers were legal!!!
..should have said not make me a bad person!!!

It seems a bit odd to me that everyone is blaming everyone else but not the guy that pulled the trigger. He didn't have to do it. If the man, as they say was already under arrest then why did the man shoot. not just once but 8 times as my understanding of the story. Wether or not the high ups said it was right or wrong to shoot, no matter who said anything about the shoot to kill policy, the guy one the other end of that gun was at fault. If I had been that police officer I would have put my gun away and answered for it later. The man, as the story is being told was of no threat. the man and only the man at the end of the gun was to blame, Or are the police unable to think for themselves thses days.

netzibita...i didnt say he was a bad person ..i just said his visa had run out..no one knows what sort of person he is ..just that he was in the wrong place at the wrong time...and if he is so innocent why didnt he renew his visa...i just feel the family are milking it and money is rearing its ugly head...people here in the uk lost loved ones in the bombings but they are not in the media spotlight demanding this and demanding that..they are acting with dignity..these people are over the top..also our police are not trained enough to deal with suicide bombers its a new area for them and they made a mistake..they will learn from that mistake and probably get more training..everything happend so fast and its their duty to protect us...a whole new area opened up to the police and yes they made a mistake..but they also made a good job of arresting the would be bombers as quick as they did...and no way do i think you are bad to be a illegal immigrant..its your choice to be one..i wouldnt be one as i would feel guilty as i am that way inclined....and i dont mind illegal immigrants being in the uk as long as they dont use the nhs..as they are not paying for it..
Hear Hear Mullein2 - exactly my sentiments!
Surprisingly lots of other countries do not value money over lives.  Here in Spain for instance we wouldn't have a hope in hell of getting compensation for a death and I daresay it's the same in Brazil.  I think they grieve genuinely and are not after any money.
well if they grieve genuinely..then they wont want any compensation will they? and they can give the tax payer back what they have allready recieved and pay for their own holiday to the uk for them and the extended family!! the whole truth hasnt come out as yet and their is more to this than meets the eye..i am sure we would be better off adopting other countrys principles..we are a soft touch and other people from other countrys know it...

I say that we make a martyr out of him and erect a statue in his honour:

De Menezes Our Saviour Because of him We the suppressed ( that's us The English) rose up and took back the control of our Homeland.

I think that honour (and no cash payment) will more than satisfy his family.

cherrybomb you could well be right!!!
