How effiing much you plonker!
Why do people put "For Sale" and a number on their car, leave it by the side of the road or in their driveway, without the single most important piece of information, ie the price? Even if I'm interested I won't phone it! Numpties!

Lol....can't say I've ever noticed. Then again,I'm not looking to buy a car.
Ha, I tried to sell my car a few months ago and I did the this. The reason......because I didn't want people to know how much I was asking for. If they knew they wouldn't be interested from the start. I did have quite a bit of interest in it but ended up keeping the car in the end.

"if they knew they wouldn;t be interested" - So it's over priced then? Why not put the price on and save all the calls?
Well, I had in mind the price for the car if it was in perfect nick, although it wasn't quite. But I was willing to take offers for a lower amount so I didn't want to put 3k in the window which might put people off. I wanted them to call me so we could talk about the amount, which did work. It just happened I didn't need to sell it anymore.
That's not as bad as people who come on here asking questions like "My car's broke down, whats wrong with it"?
Why not just put: £3000 or Offers.
That would give people a clue as to what you were expecting.
you have to put a price so buyers can see what price bracket you're after for the car.
when i sell a car i always put what model it is, engine size, tax & mot, number and in big numbers the price.
this way they can guage if they can insure the car or not or even go and get a price first,
plus they know all the basic info thats needed so no time wasting callers, just genuine interested callers.
i woudl not ring if there was no price...on anything...i think rather than the price puttin gpeople off, the lack of it put more people off....
for something like a car, most people have an amount they intend to spend, so almost 'tricking' them into giving their attention will not make someone buy the car
