When I download photos using windows 7 the dates that are added to the folders are in the format 2011-02-16. How do I change this so it reads 16 Feb 2011?

It's probably a setting in whatever software you're using to download.

However, the dates are formatted like for a very good reason - so that they sort properly.

Dates like 16 Feb 2011 will sort alphabetically so that e.g. Apr will be first, then Aug, then Dec, then Feb etc...

And all the "16" of the month will be together so you will get 16 Feb with the 16 Dec and 16 Mar and so on.

Far better to be year month day
