i have completed the game and beat the final boss twice and have 120 stars and saved the game, it said i can play luigi i know there is another 120 stars to get again,when i finished a new galaxy didnt open,i now have to start the game again?..from scratch again and open all the galaxy's again this is baffling...

How do you know there are more stars to get?

yeah I'm afraid to get the secret ending sequence you need to get 120 stars with Mario and then the same 120 with Luigi :/
