using keypad on a laptop

Hi can someone please help! Can't work out how to control the pointer by using the touchpad.The pointer seems to fly all over the place closing programs etc or the words I am typing sudddenly pop up in another place. Also cannot work out how to click and drag. Is there a tutorial I could access?

Mine did that too. Disable the keypad and buy a USB mouse.

i second that i found the scrollpads useless you can get an optical mouse from £3.50 at wilkos
