Have you got a local chippy that has sustainable fish on the menu, do you go there (more now than before the programme)?

My mum's jsut gone to get some mackrel from a chippy 5 miles away, there are nearer ones but they don't have it!

1) 5 miles isn't that far in a car, 2) The other chippies round here aren't that nice anyway, apart from one but they're closed for refurbishment at the moment, 3) it's the principle that counts.
"5 miles isn't that far in a car"

thats right, 5 miles is further on foot
Mackerel is all very well, but not for fish and chips. It has to be cod, haddock or some other white fish. mackerel is far too oily to have with chips. Fine with salad, though.
Question Author
That's why there are other options such as pollock rock and dogfish at that chippy, they're trying to fade stuff like cod haddock and plaice out but ATM they're still quite popular.
