Go to desktop, click internet options and clear history

You do not say what history.

Windows keeps all sorts of histories, such as web sites visited, files you have opened, e-mails you have sent, videos played in media player and so on.

You can never delete all your histories from Windows, there are all sorts of things Windows keeps, although there are products available that do claim to clear out all your history files.

A product called adaware is quite good at listing all your histories and giving you the chance to delete them.
